Our Projects

We enjoy and take great pride in our work and we certainly enjoy a challenge. We’d love you to take a look through some of the work we have completed. These cover everything from our heritage work, re-roofs, repairs and maintenance right through to some of the custom roofs and bespoke work we have completed. We are always happy to discuss your roofing project so please feel free to get in touch with any questions about how AGR can help.

Leaking Roof Repair

The slate roof on this home constantly leaked. The AGR team fixed the leak problem by building a new roof underneath allowing any rain to run off the roof rather than pooling underneath. This was all done without changing the street appeal and keeping the look of the new slate in the same style.

Leaking Roof Repair

This job was repairing a long term leaking roof due to a design fault. AGR stripped out and re-designed that section of roof. All the work was completed from underneath the roofline to not ruin the aesthetics of the beautifully architecturally designed roof and no more leaks.

Chimney Restoration

The chimney belonging to this Adelaide Hills home needed some work done due to age and the harsh elements. AGR cleaned the chimney walls and repainted and the leadwork around the base was renewed. The two unused chimney pots on the outside were capped to help stop draughts. This will also help the homeowners with heating and energy efficiency in the winter.

New Terracotta Tile Roof

This project was to create a new roof for an Adelaide Hills home. The terracotta tiles look fantastic and the view is just brilliant. This job involved a bit of thinking outside of the box to complete the client’s vision due to tricky access requirements.

Heritage Renovation

The terracotta bricks on the parapet wall were disintegrating and this was affecting the integrity of the slate roof. AGR renewed the slate roof and box gutters. The brick wall was covered with colorbond to preserve the original heritage listed brickwork. Due to the colour choice of the colorbond, it can’t actually be seen from the road so keeps the original aesthetics of the heritage roof.

Hexadome Roof Renovation & Addition

Due to the interior design of the hexadome roof, there was nowhere in the upper level ceiling to affix lighting. This made the home dark during the day and the clients were also concerned about the lack of lighting at night being a safety issue due to having small children. AGR constructed the upper addition to provide natural light during the day as well as being able to position wiring for lighting. All the construction was done by AGR including the woodwork and louvre panels and the goal of keeping the new roofline addition in keeping with the rest of the home was achieved.

Dormer Window Renovation

The AGR team renovated this out of reach dormer window and installed new flashing along the sides for leak prevention. As part of the job, the team painted the dormer window in order to make life easy for the client who was unable to access the roof to complete this later.

Heritage Renovation & Re-Roof

AGR completed this heritage listed roof renovation using slate. AGR worked with the client and their architects to ensure that the new roof didn’t detract from its heritage beauty while still taking advantage of having a new roof installed and all the benefits that brings.

Double Valley Roof Renovation

This area of roof is called a double valley and due to the angle changes, it can be difficult for water to drain away properly. This makes them prone to having leaking problems. AGR was able to come up with a permanent fix to make sure that the client was able to enjoy a leak free roof.

A One of a Kind Project!

Originally built by two English ladies who had not long emigrated to Adelaide as a discerning gentleman’s retreat, this beautiful home required a complete re-roof. Every slate on this roof was hand cut by Anthony himself showing off all the craftsmanship he learnt on the job in England. This project required meticulous precision and attention to detail and the finished result looks incredible.

A Commercial Project

Working in conjunction with an asbestos removal company, this job used asphalt shingles. Asphalt shingles were the perfect choice due to their long life span and being more economical with the sheer amount of roof needing to be covered. This project was more complex to manage due to extremely limited roof access spots and harnesses being required as no scaffolding was possible. It is also rumoured that due to this job being located next to the Haigh’s chocolate factory on Greenhill Rd, that there may have had to have been adjustments made to the way the teams harnesses fitted.
